Questions about the money
The bits people ask before they sign up.
- What counts as a user?
- Anyone who can log in: you, whoever is in the office and every crew member on their phone. Contractors you give an account to count too. Your customers don't — they never log in.
- What happens when the free period ends?
- After that Treetask becomes a paid subscription, from £40 a month for up to three people, with no VAT to add. Nothing starts charging on its own — there’s no card on the account to charge.
- Can I change plan later?
- Yes. Move up when you take someone on, move down when the season turns, and cancel whenever you like. It's a monthly subscription, not a contract.
- What happens to my data if I stop?
- It stays yours. From Settings you can download the lot whenever you like — a spreadsheet you can read or a full backup file — and nothing stops you doing that on the way out.
- Do I need QuickBooks?
- No. Treetask does quoting and invoicing on its own — numbering, VAT, PDFs, the lot. Connect QuickBooks if you use it and the two stay in step. Xero is on the list.
- There are more than five of us.
